The International Franchise Association hosted its Public Affairs Conference in Washington, DC in September 2012, which attracted more than 500 attendees. The fly-in was just like hundreds of others held yearly in Washington -- conference rooms on the Hill had the potential to change, messages had the potential to shift, and attendees required information. Read about how Beekeeper Group worked with IFA to create a "paperless" Congressional fly-in via our innovative "Lobby Day" mobile application.

Here are our top 10 highlights: Congressional Management Foundation’s Bradford Fitch gave an excellent […]
A recent article by POLITICO’s Anna Palmer entitled “K Street’s boom goes bust” describes how many DC lobbying firms reported stagnant or negative revenues in 2011. Their sluggish year is attributed to the slow economy and, perhaps more significantly, major shifts occurring in the public affairs industry. The article describes how a few new kids on the advocacy block are starting to rival the traditional lobbying establishment: “Fights are no longer just about which side has the most — or […]

The speakers’ advice on how to get Hill […]

In the past decade, EU jurisdiction has broadened to include areas of consumer, social, and environmental policy, and the advent of the euro has raised numerous economic and monetary issues within the euro zone. We are often asked why don’t more public affairs clients purchase online advertising. While there are a steadily growing number that do dabble in the online advertising space, it is generally true that many public affairs clients are wary of online advertising even though their counterparts in the non-political/advocacy advertising world are lapping it up (see latest online ad growth trends according to a report from Borrell Associates). This discrepancy likely occurs for three main reasons: 1. An ‘expectation gap’ 2. […]
