What do Beekeeper Group and the Goodyear Blimp have in common? ME!

On Monday and Tuesday, I joined a group of 40 people in Akron, Ohio for a product launch hosted by Goodyear. During the event, the tire company introduced a new all-season tire for passenger vehicles. Read more about my full experience on my blog Be Car Chic.

While there was much to learn about the tire manufacturing process and Goodyear’s products, I have to say that the most awesome part of the trip was the chance to ride in the Goodyear Blimp. I mean, how many people can say that?

But my two days in the mid-west weren’t all fun and games. These types of events are great ways to build relationships with fellow automotive industry representatives. And as the auto practice lead here at Beekeeper, that’s an important part of my ongoing role since joining the hive.

The blimp ride lasted 30 minutes, and I was fortunate to get a seat next to the pilot. View my photos here (some ridiculous and some awesome). I even tweeted to my followers from 1,000 feet above ground. Needless to say, it was a cool experience.

If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to land in the Goodyear blimp, then you’re in luck because I took a brief video while riding shotgun.

Hope you enjoyed the view!
